   Symington's Low Moor has had Weight Manager installed since 2004.

The weight manager system has been beneficial to the Company ensuring that all products comply with the average weight system. The system will send an alert to any email should there be any packs under the T2 weight. This ensures that the Company does not send out any illegal weight packs.

Trading Standards visits to the site have been happy with the records as they clearly show the weight control of any product which has been produced.

Low Moor site is accredited by BRC SAI Global and holds a Grade A certification.

The weight manager has played a significant part of the BRC and customer audits with easy retrieval of records during the traceability exercise.

The system allows full traceability of all products with the easy retrieval of batch codes, production quantities and hours, line personnel, weight control, metal detection and pack quality attributes.

Records can be clearly printed rather than hand written records which sometimes are only as clear as the operative writing them.

Instructions for cleaning of production lines can be easily checked by the operators on the system, to ensure that the correct cleaning procedure is followed, especially after producing allergen products.

Complaints can be investigated directly from the system by the production (Julian) code which saves time looking through files of paper documents.

Overall the weight manager system saves time on all of the above, is easy to use and has been an asset to the Company.
