Drawing Manager
Drawing Manager is an application that manages your scanned document images, digital images and drawings. The system can be run as a stand alone system or linked to any of our software packages.
Drawing Manager gives you control over your projects by providing a secure drawing library with visibility at the right level. Drawing Manager provides full drawing traceability and can be accessed from anywhere in the world.
Your open projects can be listed on demand and each project is linked to a specific project team. This allows document access to be restricted to just those team members.
Customer information is held on the system including a profile, multiple addresses, multiple contacts and their projects. You may list all the projects for a customer, both open and historical, and you can list all the drawings and documents linked to a project.
The drawing viewer opens the document for inspection. All file formats are supported including AutoCAD, PDF, all Image formats and office documents. You may also export the drawing into another format using this facility. There are a number of controls that allow you to rotate, zoom and print the drawing.
You can only check out a drawing out if it is currently checked in and you have secure access to it. After confirming the date, your name and reason, you may browse to your save folder by clicking the "Upload" command button. Whilst a drawing can be viewed by others whilst checked out, nobody else can make changes to it.
Once the drawing maintenance is complete it may be checked back into the library. The act of checking in a drawing makes it available for future check outs. Clicking the "Download" command buttons allows you to browse to the path of the drawing on your file system.
Each activity performed against a drawing is logged. The audit trail may be reviewed on demand by clicking the history icon on the drawings toolbar.
A customizable toolbar at the top of the window provides shortcuts to the commonly used applications. The side bar provides the user with quick access to their contacts, projects, drawings and tasks.
Teams are constructed by adding users to a specific team. The privilege levels of team members is determined by their user group membership.
To log onto the web interface you must enter your email address and password. You may search for a specific drawing by entering the search parameters of project, drawing reference and optionally the revision. The matching results allow you to check the drawing out or download the drawing in Adobe PDF format. The system can be configured to offer a download or email the requested file to the logged on user.
Clicking the task icon provides a popup facility to record future tasks and appointments related to the specific project. Optionally, tasks and appointments will synchronize with Microsoft Exchange.
